Are you looking for an opportunity to start a career where you can see the real impact of your work?

At Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), we're committed to providing safe, secure and affordable homes that help people thrive. As an Apprentice Project Manager within our New Homes team, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of residential housing developments while working towards a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification.

You'll be supported every step of the way by a dedicated mentor and experienced colleagues who will help you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to build a successful career in project management.

This is more than an apprenticeship. It's an opportunity to learn from industry professionals, gain a recognised qualification and play a part in providing homes that make a lasting difference to people's lives.

Please note: This apprenticeship is designed for individuals who are new to project management. If you already hold a PRINCE2 qualification or a recognised Project Management qualification at an equivalent or higher level, you may not be eligible for this programme.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll learn how housing developments move from concept to completion. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of activities including:

  • Supporting the delivery of new housing developments
  • Learning how development projects are appraised, approved and monitored
  • Developing an understanding of project finances, forecasting and budgets
  • Supporting contract, legal and compliance processes
  • Building relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants and stakeholders
  • Attending development sites and project meetings
  • Maintaining accurate project information and records
  • Contributing to projects that provide high-quality homes and great value for customers

Throughout the apprenticeship you'll receive structured learning, on-the-job training and support to help you develop your knowledge and confidence.

What we're looking for

You don't need previous housing development experience to apply.

We're looking for someone who is curious, motivated and eager to learn. You'll enjoy solving problems, working with others and paying attention to detail.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
  • An interest in project management, construction, property or housing
  • The ability to analyse information and learn new systems and processes
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to take ownership of your learning
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • A commitment to learning and developing through a Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship programme.

  • An interest in pursuing professional qualifications such as APM, RICS or CIOB

Why join us?

  • A Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification
  • A dedicated mentor to support and guide you throughout the programme
  • Real project experience from day one
  • Structured learning alongside on-the-job development
  • Support from experienced Project Managers and development professionals

We’re Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), a place-based affordable housing provider supporting almost 300,000 customers across the southwest, central and east of England.

Our purpose is simple and honest: we invest in homes and relationships so that people can thrive. As the UK’s largest provider of new affordable homes, we deliver over 3,000 new homes each year—helping to meet growing demand and build stronger communities.

Why our work matters
The need for safe, affordable housing has never been greater. Rising costs, growing inequality and increasing homelessness are making it harder for people to buy or rent a home. Strong housing associations like BFL play a vital role in providing quality homes and creating opportunities for a better future.

Through place-based working, our teams build progress from the ground up. You’ll find us at the heart of the communities we serve—strengthening neighbourhood relationships, responding quickly to changing needs and planning for the long term.

We’re also a place where people can grow. We give our colleagues the tools and opportunities to build meaningful careers, develop future-ready skills and perform at their best, all within a supportive and inclusive culture guided by our values.

We’re a place for people determined to make a difference.

Bromford Flagship LiveWest. A place to make your own.

We’re proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work, thanks to our inclusive, values-driven culture. We know that diverse teams bring out the best in everyone, and we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.

We are a proud "Disability Confident" (Level 2) and Menopause Friendly employer and have signed the Armed Forces covenant to support those who serve.

We encourage people from all sections of our community to apply for jobs with us. Particularly, we welcome those who have been historically underrepresented in areas of our workforce including people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wherever possible, we offer flexible working arrangements to help you balance your work and personal life, alongside the tools, training, and opportunities you need to develop and succeed in your career.
