We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and adaptable roofer/ground engineer to join our fast-paced and fast-growing team in a company that has been certified as a Great Place to Work.  You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding service while carrying out a wide range of roofing and grounds repairs and maintenance tasks across our properties.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for skilled tradespeople experienced in roof covering replacement including pitched, slate, flat roofing, and leadwork. This is a varied role and you will use your essential specialist skills to carry out the repairs, maintenance, and renewal of roofs and guttering works.  As a vital member of the Repairs team, you will take pride in the repairs and maintenance of our domestic properties either individually or as part of a team to the highest standard, while ensuring that value for money and quality standards are achieved.  

 

You’ll need to have a full, clean driving licence and be willing to work 40 hours per week in this field-based role. 

 

We want someone who:

  • Has strong practical skills and first-hand knowledge of  the roofing trades
  • Has plenty of flexibility, as well as a proven ability to diagnose, undertake and complete repairs to high levels of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Is seen as a people person with excellent customer service skills
  • Feels comfortable working within a social housing environment
  • Has an outstanding work ethic and the drive to complete work to an excellent standard without close supervision
  • Has a full, clean driving licence.

 

This is a mobile role and will involve extensive travel to a variety of locations across Gloucestershire (GL20) and the surrounding areas to suit programme of works.  Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for the successful applicant.
