As our Regional Learning Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our colleagues have the skills, confidence and capability they need to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers today while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.

This is more than a training role. You'll lead learning and development activity across your region, helping to identify future capability needs, drive compliance and professional standards, and create learning experiences that enable our people to perform at their best. Working closely with leaders and stakeholders, you'll influence how we develop talent, build capability and strengthen our organisational performance.

If you're passionate about developing people, enjoy leading high-performing teams and want to make a lasting impact on a growing organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Regional Learning Manager, you'll lead a team of learning professionals and work in partnership with leaders across the business to deliver a high-quality learning and development service.

You'll:

  • Lead regional learning and development activity, ensuring colleagues have the skills and confidence to excel in their roles.

  • Use workforce planning insights and business priorities to identify learning needs and shape future capability development.

  • Ensure regulatory, compliance and mandatory training programmes are delivered effectively and remain fit for purpose.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to align learning solutions with business goals and customer outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement through learning evaluation, quality assurance and performance data.

  • Develop and support a high-performing team that delivers an outstanding learning experience.

  • Manage regional learning budgets and maximise value from learning investments.

  • Work with internal and external partners to develop innovative and accessible learning solutions.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our Academy model.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced learning and development leader who can combine strategic thinking with operational excellence.

You'll bring:

  • Experience of leading learning and development, training or capability programmes within a complex organisation.

  • Strong training needs analysis, programme design and delivery expertise.

  • Experience managing compliance, regulatory or health and safety-related learning requirements.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Experience leading and developing successful teams.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data and insight to drive decision-making.

  • Experience managing budgets and delivering value for investment.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and learning standards.

  • Experience within social housing, construction, regulated sectors or a comparable environment would be advantageous.

What's in it for you?

At Bromford Flagship LiveWest, we're committed to helping our colleagues thrive.

Alongside a rewarding role with genuine organisational impact, we offer:

  • A flexible and supportive working environment.

We collaborate widely and build supportive environments.

We’re Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), a place-based affordable housing provider supporting almost 300,000 customers across the southwest, central and east of England.

Our purpose is simple and honest: we invest in homes and relationships so that people can thrive. As the UK’s largest provider of new affordable homes, we deliver over 3,000 new homes each year—helping to meet growing demand and build stronger communities.

Why our work matters
The need for safe, affordable housing has never been greater. Rising costs, growing inequality and increasing homelessness are making it harder for people to buy or rent a home. Strong housing associations like BFL play a vital role in providing quality homes and creating opportunities for a better future.

Through place-based working, our teams build progress from the ground up. You’ll find us at the heart of the communities we serve—strengthening neighbourhood relationships, responding quickly to changing needs and planning for the long term.

We’re also a place where people can grow. We give our colleagues the tools and opportunities to build meaningful careers, develop future-ready skills and perform at their best, all within a supportive and inclusive culture guided by our values.

We’re a place for people determined to make a difference.

Bromford Flagship LiveWest. A place to make your own.

We’re proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work, thanks to our inclusive, values-driven culture. We know that diverse teams bring out the best in everyone, and we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.

We are a proud "Disability Confident" (Level 2) and Menopause Friendly employer and have signed the Armed Forces covenant to support those who serve.

We encourage people from all sections of our community to apply for jobs with us. Particularly, we welcome those who have been historically underrepresented in areas of our workforce including people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wherever possible, we offer flexible working arrangements to help you balance your work and personal life, alongside the tools, training, and opportunities you need to develop and succeed in your career.
