Contract: Secondment for 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Based at either our Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury office, with travel across the West of England and North Gloucestershire

We’re looking for a highly motivated Investment Surveyor to take the lead in delivering our home investment works, cyclical maintenance, and major repairs over a 12-month secondment period.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the full project and contract management process—from surveys, design, and specification, through to procurement, contract mobilisation, and quality assurance. Your work will support our mission to provide homes that are more than just a place to live—they're the foundation for our customers’ wellbeing and aspirations.

You’ll have a varied working pattern that includes site visits, office-based working, and time working from home. Given the nature of the role, you’ll be travelling regularly, so we’ll provide a company car or a cash allowance alternative.

You’ll also collaborate across departments and with supply chain partners to ensure that our home investment activity is delivered efficiently, to high standards, and in line with compliance and value-for-money expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record in delivering property investment activities within large, complex organisations
  • Experience managing contractors and suppliers effectively
  • Extensive background in budget and contract management
  • Degree, NEBOSH, or equivalent in a property/construction-related discipline; or a composite of skills and experience
  • Confident with mobile working technologies (e.g., tablets, smartphones) and IT systems
  • Flexible, reliable and able to manage time and travel commitments effectively

Additional requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to pass an enhanced DBS check

Benefits Package:

  • Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per year, with an annual salary review
  • Company car/cash allowance alternative
  • Performance Bonus: Based on individual and company-wide targets
  • Flexible Working: We’re happy to explore options if this is important to you
  • Personal benefits fund: £500 annual allowance for benefits such as private medical insurance, dental treatment, critical illness cover, or gym membership
  • Annual leave: 27 days per year, plus bank holidays, with an option to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Pension options: Choose from two pension schemes, with employer contributions of up to 10%
  • Life Assurance
  • Health and wellbeing services: Free access to 24/7 GP services, counselling, legal advice, and more
  • Retail discounts: Save money on groceries, clothing, electronics, and more
  • Drinks card providing up to £30 per month for hot or cold drinks while working (pro rata for part-time colleagues)

Closing date for applications: 18th July 2025

Interviews will be on the 24th and 25th July

Please apply early, as we may close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.

Important information for internal colleagues:

If you are successful, you will move onto Bromford's new terms and conditions and will adopt these benefits as part of your colleague package. For more information and FAQs about the new T&Cs, visit Hub. (N.B. this will not apply if you are moving into a role as part of a secondment)

Secondments:

If you are seconded into a role that pays more than your substantive role, you will receive a secondment allowance. This effectively “tops up” your pay to match that of the seconded role for the duration of your secondment. As the allowance is separate from your substantive salary, it is not included in e.g. performance-related pay (PRP) calculations, pension contributions etc.

If your salary is more than that advertised for the role you’re seconding into, there will be no drop in salary during the secondment.
